about the print options - Open Editions

Open Editions

The three main differences between Open and Limited Editions are:

  1. Open editions are not unique,
  2. they are not signed, and
  3. they are not of conservation quality (although they will still last in excess of 100 years if kept out of direct sunlight and properly cared for).

Open edition prints are printed at 4800dpi on Canon 170gsm matte photo paper using the Canon Lucia Pigment inks.

They are mounted on Black Daler Rowney mountboard, or an equivalent. They are hinge mounted and all materials used are acid free, ensuring the print will last at least a lifetime if kept undamaged.

Open edition prints come with a barcode and date code, although the codes will not be unique to the print.
